How to: Inserting or Embedding a PDF into Word

It’s a pretty simple task to insert a PDF into a Word document so that the pdf file will go along with the document when you send it off via email.  Follow the images and I will show you how.  First, under the Insert Ribbon, click the Object button.

From there,

choose the Adobe Acrobt Document Object type, the click the Display as icon checkbox.  This will have your pdf file embed in the Word document so it goes along with the file.  Click OK

Choose the file you want to insert into the document, and you will get something that looks like this.  Notice the Double-Click to Open Acrobat Document in the lower left.  Send the file on, and the person you sent it to should be able to double-click the icon and the PDF file will open up in the program associated with .pdf files.
